Melbourne loves cinema. Be it multiplex blockbusters in gleaming shopping centres, or the sweetly poignant odes to fandom that find a home in our city's cinematic utopia, we love it all.

But when it comes to the nether regions of the cinematic world, it's best to turn to an expert: Leon O'Ragen. Fringe-culture maven, record store jerk and curator of the Tape Delay film series at Glitch, the guy is a walking IMDB for films that never got beyond the back shelf of your childhood VHS rental store.

And that's where the picks for this week's double screening come from - 'Lost Weirdness' gives us films so obscure we couldn't even find a trailer to link to, just some limp database references.

First up is Furious, a surreal Hong Kong martial arts/sorcery film that promises to be like ‘Eraserhead meets Monkey' - straight from the ‘80s to you. 1977's The Hunted takes one Native American war vet and pits him against society. God only knows what to expect, but there's a good chance minds will be blown.
