Sometimes you want more than a haircut - you want to hear a story, eat a jellybean, and maybe have a shot of vodka along the way. Well, you can do all these things at Zoya's - Opulent's local hairdresser - and she's pretty handy with the clippers to boot.
Located down Carson Place in the city, just before Donuts Deluxe, lies this little oasis for those in the know. Zoya, who emigrated from Ukraine via Milan and Tel Aviv, took over the '50s-era hairdressing salon some three years ago and has been entertaining customers ever since.
Of course, if you're in a hurry we can't recommend a stop-in here, but if you want a classic cut with a lesson on Ukrainian pop music, we couldn't speak highly enough of the place. Don't forget to check out her guest book - did you see the photos of her and Laurence Fishburne together? Gangster.
