If I could be anywhere in the world at this moment, I'd be on a beach in Key West, wallowing in the depths of a three day rum-drunk, and as nude as the day is long. But that's not gonna happen any time soon (owing to an incident with Diego Montoya and a swan), so I'll have to settle for the poor-man's Caribbean jaunt - tubing on the Mighty Murray River.
There's nothing quite like pushing away from that muddy bank, and drifting off with little more than a six-pack, some good friends, and an old inner tube. Why spend thousands of dollars on Rescue Remedy and books by Rhonda Byrne, when real serenity is waiting for you, free-of-charge, down at Beaurepaires? That's right - I said free. They're throwing those rubber dream-catchers away, brother. Go and get you some. Once you're riding the slow-moving shoulder of the world's most beautiful waterway, your troubles will simply melt away.
You can howl obscenities at passing paddle steamers, throw empty beer bottles at the many waterfowl, and piss right through your pants as many times as you like. Take a shit? Be my guest, friend. No one can touch you when you're floating lazily through the summer haze aboard your big black donut.
