Take a deep breath and reminisce the mass of muddy punters sweating out their day's worth of beer. Remember the good times?
Last year the Trainwreck 20/20 people threw a fundraiser event for their four-year-long project, The Super8 Diaries. A documentary about fall-to-your-knees-and-praise-worthy Australian bands shot on the kind of Super8 cameras film nerds sell their bikes at Cash Converters over.
This Saturday, they will be throwing another party celebrating the launch of the documentary in a big old warehouse in Richmond. From 1pm you can tuck into sausages in bread (possibly the greatest meal known to mankind) and listen to bands until midnight – or at least until you develop tinnitus. Bands bringing the ruckus are Baseball, Made for Chickens By Robots, Tucker Bs, Ladybird, Eucalypt, Aleks and the Ramps, Charge Group, Chris Cobilis, Majorca, Touch Typist, The Thaw and Ooga Boogas.
Excerpts from the documentary will screen at 9pm and if you arrive late or leave early, we will never, ever forgive you. We know where you live. Well, we know your email addresses and we’re not afraid to send you pictures of ourselves. Got it?
