Jean-Paul Hussey's new alter ego is in town and he is the most reverend David Panache, the host of 'Do U Like 2 Wrestle?'. This one-night-only mud wrestling extravaganza calls for you, the audience members, to don the costumes of the Armani or Versace Hotel chains and get into the inflatable pool of mud to the hellish sounds of art lovers' jeers and a rocking DJ. The basis for this lunatic idea? The Apollonian and Dionysian dichotomy, as examined by Friedrich Nietzsche in The Birth of Tragedy. Apollo represents order, reason, symmetry, self-control and good taste, and is manifested in the Armani fashion house. As Hussey poeticises it, "Nice, neat, prissed up and full of honour like the moon is in a deep Russian winter".
Versace, however, is Dionysus incarnate: chaos, irrationality, sensuality, good and bad taste combined. Hussey decribes Dionysus as "messy, big shapes, spontaneous, bright, bold colours. Gorgeous redheads in summery frocks leaping over bonfires without any knickers on."

Famous 'Armanis' include: Cate Blanchett, Tom Cruise,  Superman, Empire State building. Notable 'Versaces' are Cyndi Lauper,  John Waters (the filmmaker, not the Australian actor), Batman, the Chrysler building.  Now get down to Savers and get your costume organised!
