Werribee Open Range Zoo
I work hard six days a week, so when that rare day-off rolled around, I decided to spend it at Werribee Open Range Zoo with my ex-girlfriend and her mother.
Werribee Zoo is the underdog in the local zoo market, mostly because Werribee is a real bitch to get to from the city, and the since the day it opened 15 years ago, the administration hasn't done a thing to make it easier.

So there I was, sitting on a junior school chair, staring at a nude woman with my hand working hurriedly away - woah there guys, I was at life drawing class! Obvious jokes aside, life drawing may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of after work activities in the city, but maybe it should be.

After many teenage years of crippling boredom in Mount Gambier, the only thing that usually succeeds in getting me back there is the obligatory love of my family (and even then my mother would say it's an uphill battle). The town itself is nothing short of stunning - lush green expanses, a sparkling blue lake, and only a hop and a skip to the beach - but somehow I can't seem to shake that gut feeling that I'd be better off staying in Melbourne and watching paint dry.

Sidetracked Entertainment Centre
So the other day I went with some pals to a place in Oakleigh called Sidetracked. It's this big shed in the middle of nowhere with a crappy old sign out the front that hides what is actually inside, NOTHING BUT FUN!
Go-karting, mini golf, laser shooting, video games, dim-sims, and ‘pepsi drinks'.
No Lights. No Lycra.
I've seen a lot of dance floors in my time. Ballroom ones where numerous toes are trodden on, R&B nights where only one girl can actually booty dance, heaving sweaty fluro rave-offs, disco pose-fests, and so on.
Dance does not scare me - I crunch dance for breakfast.
Or so I thought. Until last Tuesday I'd never seen anything like 'No Lights.
