There have been other swapmeets before this one, and if that swine flu thing chills out, there might be some after, but none of them will be as great as this giant hipster selloff. As we send out the newsletter, there are already 35 stallholders, which means it's going to be a massive sale of bikes, sneakers, vinyl toys, and other stuff white people like.
The guys at Sneaker Freaker organised it all and hand-picked the sellers, which hopefully means there will be less whimsical knitwear and grandmas and more Air Jordans and hotties. And if you're worried about the weather turning into bullshit and ruining your unprotected footwear, shelve your concerns: the Rose Street market is outdoor AND indoors.
