So you've had your eye on a Karen Walker dress, but you thought you could wait. Then you missed it. Then again at the sale. It happens. But now there's an answer. Tessuti Fabrics has a range of short-run and remnant fabrics from some of the best local and international designers, so now you can make your own.
If that's a concern, the beautifully presented Japanese Pattern Books for sale will keep you on the right path. With some of the best designs seen in pattern books for years, these alone are worth a trip. Thing is, you'll stay for the amazing range of ridiculously high quality materials from Chanel, Armani, Josh Goot and Collette Dinnigan.
They're an experienced bunch too. Having already established themselves all over Sydney, the Tessuti Fabrics crew couldn't have found themselves a more appropriate site (very conveniently located above the new Coda restaurant and below The Narrows Gallery) on Flinders Lane. Look for the giant Button and Needle above the doorway in the old rag-trading district.

ThreeThousand is a subcultural guide to Melbourne, published daily and fired by email weekly. It is compiled by an amorphous gaggle of Melbourne writers, stylists, designers and photographers who all like huddling under that big umbrella we like to call creativity. Without editorial independence ThreeThousand has nothing. All editorial you read is featured because it's worth it - not because it's paid for.
