Consider this their fifth curtain call. The Is Not party has been had. Issue 11 is out on the streets and it's being covered up with Bliss N Eso posters already. But when one troupe of editors find themselves dodging debt collectors, removing all evidence they ever had a business and selling off their assets is the wisest move to make.
There's back issues, badges, comics, a bookshelf, a chair, a mac computer, an adjustable desk, a digital answering machine that may or may not work, an inkjet printer and in/out trays. The desk chairs probably have little bits of chip wedged in between the cushions; the speakers for sale probably only know how to play ‘Together in Electric Dreams'; the piñata made from an old issue of the magazine looks like it's had an indomitable battering even though there's nothing but air inside.
All these goods could be yours to set up an office for another economically unviable business. You could even play your own game of Is Not Magazine. Call up your friends, dress up as one of the editors, argue over content, dream up puns, maintain day jobs and throw a party at the end of the afternoon.
