Gallery above Glitzern
There's been talk, oh yes there has. And now it's open. The gallery above Glitzern in Crossley Street. It's actually in the apartment that once belonged to anal-retentive Australian landscape artist and teacher of Frederick McCubbin, Eugene von Guerard. It is a bit spooky and fadedly opulent, which is the perfect setting for an exhibition by Kathryn Baulch, of Melbourne's cult jewellery label House of Baulch.
In The Woods
If folklore has taught us anything, the woods are enchanted and hold lessons to learn. Snow White sought refuge by hitching her gown and bolting for the woods. This tale taught us that being swept away by one handsome stranger is much, much better than cleaning up after seven little strangers with wandering hands.
The Hunted by Emma Grace
Emma Grace's new range of wearable art is, in more than one way, The Hunted. It's called The Hunted. It's modeled by the hunted, it's a tribute to hunted animals.
Created from 925 silver, this collection features antlers, dove wings, deer heads and hearts. While tiny and perfectly formed, the pieces that make up The Hunted - like Bowie, Stevie and John - seem to have their own dark histories.
Glitzern
If you've spent any time shopping for vintage in Melbourne you're sure to have had an impossibly fashionable woman with a wild blonde afro look after you. Her hairdo can now be found wedged within the four walls of Melbourne's smallest and newest accessories shop, ‘Glitzern' in Crossley Street.

When it comes to the proliferation of stuff, I'm with Erykah. Most of it we don't need, some we'd be better off without, but knowing this doesn't stop the personal pick ‘n' mix bulging out of bags: Wallet, phone, make-up, diary, notebook, laptop, power cord, iPod, sunglasses, highlighters, camera, pens, gum, folders, magazines, books - shit, stuff happens.

Coming into summer, a good pair of sunglasses are a precious commodity. At the pool they can be the difference between being mistaken for a pornstar or a librarian.
