Description:
Respond to a question with “Uh-Huh” and you’re agreeing with “sure,” “of course,” or “alright!” Add an ‘n’ to say, “Nuh-Huh” and the meaning of your expressive grunt is turned on its head. This response, as lazy as a convulsive exclamation, can pretty much mean anything with the right tone. For example, it’s also the name for a night being held at The Corner this Saturday. So when a friend asks what you’re doing this weekend, shrug your shoulders (if you can be bothered) and reply with, “Uh-Huh”. They’ll know just what you mean. You’re attending a night of indie bands. Uh-huh, Young and Restless, Dardanelles, The Galvatrons, Flamingo Crash, Casette Kids, Reptiles and Death Before Death Gang will all be there.
