For a bitsy gumball of a supergroup, The Assassination Collective have an intriguing unity about them. Made up of members from Baseball, The Stabs, The Adults, Tractor By Day, The Grimm, Jihad Against America, Remake Remodel, Royalchord, BadcopBadcop and Bowl of Dick, they describe themselves as: ‘4 lead singers. 2 drummers, 4 guitarists, 1 casio player and a bassman. Not all at the same time, mind you - we swap around a bit.' The team have reached new heights and got themselves a record deal with Afterdark Records. Jumping in the musical smoothie and celebrating the good news will be Bakelite Age, Little Athletics and The Losers. - ID
