The term 'juggernaut' is used to describe any literal or metaphorical force regarded as unstoppable; that will crush all in its path. With an album being nursed, an ace 12" (party track - 45 And Rising) in the mix and a brand spanking new EP the Midnight Juggernauts are tearing Melbourne apart gig by gig. With crisply programmed drumloops and synthesizers underscoring riffy guitars and howling, haunting vocals, the Juggs new EP is like a punch in the dark; you don't know where it came from but you know you felt it.
The Midnight Juggernauts stand alongside the likes of Cut Copy and The Presets when it comes to party making, fist shaking electro rock. Raised By Wolves and Fire Below affirm this beyond reasonable doubt and killer remixes done by Wolfmother and Spod make this little number one for the archive.
With expectations rising, this ace little six track, and an exciting few months ahead the Midnight Juggernauts momentum definitely seems more literal than metaphorical. Unlike Cinderella we can't wait for midnight.
