The relationship between art and craft is in many ways similar to that of rock and pop. They are similar, competitive yet distinct, and one is clearly better than the other. However, every now and then, there is an anomaly, take Justin Timberlake if you will.
Therefore, we will call Louise Weaver the Justin Timberlake of the art-world. Her hand crocheted multi-coloured fantastical creatures beautifully blur the distinctions between art and craft while referencing the realms of prosthetics, haute couture, flora and fauna. Accompanied by an atmospheric sound-scape, and dressed for a masquerade these crafty wonders strut their stuff like the ladies in a JT filmclip.
