Like Mr Whippy looking forward to 41-degree day, we get giddy anytime we hear about Tai Snaith putting on a show. She’s earned our love over the years with her wonderfully wacky performance art – remember this, and this?. She’s articulated her imagination and illustrative skill in exhibitions like the Lenko Art Show earlier in ‘07 where she painted the loved-by-all Hooraffe (half giraffe, half horse) on a wall in the Carlton Hotel studios.

This Saturday, Brunswick Bound presents their first exhibition of 2008 which happens to be Tai Snaith’s first solo show. Vintage hard-cover books, some belonging to her great grandparents, have been filled with creatures Tai has brought to life. We don’t want to give too much away, but get excited because that old Hooraffe may just make another appearance – except there will be more of them and they’ll be multi-coloured. Like, Hooraffe 2.0.
