The Kaiser Chiefs have been hyped to the eyeballs and have press clippings poking out their ears. Sounding like the bastard lovechild of Franz Ferdinand and an English soccer crowd they have been tipped/touted to become the big new thing in the not so new-wave. Their single ‘I predict a riot’ has a wholesome fist-shaking spirit to it for all those with an indie-pop sensibility, but the rest of the album is perhaps a little thin. However, as the Kaiser Chiefs tour throughout Europe and the States with the likes of The Killers and U2 we should have enough time to decide whether these lads are worth it.
