Blanket Magazine has been publishing in the fine, time-honoured tradition of downloadable pdf since December 2006. It's less about writing than it is about visual stuff (art, design, photography). Actually, it's kind of like a giant, bimonthly, downloadable folio. (But hey, so's the newspaper, only journalists won't be getting a better paid job, ever.)
Anyway, after eight issues in portable document land, Blanket is getting beyond the file prep stage to create a special printed poster.
It's a giant patchwork of images from 56 contributors who have been featured in the magazine since its launch. Like Blanket, the patchwork poster will not keep you warm, other than in the creatively satisfied sense. Unless you set fire to it, obviously, but we say: pack a jumper because you won't want it to come to that.
