The Wrangler Rock ‘n’ Roll film festival spans two evenings, highlighting some legendary artists who have shaped musical history. The Dirty Three have hung around for too many years for us to ignore their moody instrumentalism. Ellis, Turner and White are now iconic within Australian music and this Thursday, Rooftop Cinema screens The Dirty Three - a documentary featuring Nick Cave, Cat Power and the band itself. Sure it’s not live, but who would choose sticky carpet over deck chairs and a blanket?
