Stacey Pullen is an American techno musician based out of Detroit, with a lady's name. Perhaps this is why he has used the aliases Bango, Kosmik Messenger, X-Stacy and Silent Phase. Pullen was raised in Michigan, where he began working on the techno scene in 1990, studying and figuring out new manly pseudonyms with Derrick May, who was tired of people saying, "Derrick may what? May move back to Belleville? HAHA". Stacey Pullen's blending of house and garage with techno may have influenced later electronic artists, but his grandma still wishes he was a girl.
