Slow Club have quite a few shows in the next few weeks, but everyone knows that a small intimate show at the Empress will always trump the Corner when these guys get huge and you can be hoity patooti about seeing them first. They're pretty much the typical anti-folk band because they can make jangly rhythms infect your head yet they have barely any singing ability, but what does that matter when you have the heart, an acoustic guitar, and a set of drums? - PC
