Description:
As winter looms above us, it is time to farewell the Rooftop Cinema for another year. And while the deck chairs are preparing to be sent out to pasture, it's only fitting that we give this year's programme the send-off it deserves. So there's going to be a party, and it's lucky there's no roof on the rooftop to be blown away by all the raucous festivities (or is that only in mid-‘90s hip hop videos...?). The main event of the evening will be the showing of Lagerfeld Confidential at 9pm, the first authorised biography of the iconic fashion designer, put together by director Rodolphe Marconi from over three hundred hours of footage. This intimate portrait of Lagerfeld deconstructs the documentary genre, with an uncensored depiction of the 'man behind the sunglasses'. So say sayonara to rooftop movies for 2008, and have a lager for Lagerfeld this Sunday.
