Description:
When bands get to writing their own pull-no-punches pressers, what's left for us, the journalists? It does take a load off, though. Guy Roche on the Retail Fireworks show: "There are some good bands on the bill like My Empires and an altogether less wrist slitty evening of music than we usually get lobbed with. We have a singer now (true) and are now a psy trance rockabilly grind mime band with choreographed dance moves and matching out-fits, plus we won't be trying to sell anything, except our bodily fluid by the litre. So if you're unsure about our name or even the whole vibe, come down anyway and hurl abuse from the dark and you might even get your cowardly voice on our live recording. Invite your record label buddies, cos I wanna get rich and quit the band (sorry guys)." Then later, via text: "Their appearance shall be short and early so they can get back to the industrial hit making machine they came from." - PM (and Guy Roche).
