It's getting cold, and seasonal depression is on the horizon. Sometimes you wish you could just transport yourself to another time, through some sort of time portal/magic car/carrier pigeons in V-formation. What about the glory days of the 80s, where Cyndi Lauper reigned as Queen? Or some late-70s-Italian-disco romping? Better yet, head down to the Toff this Thursday night and get your dancing boots on to hear Glass Candy spinning a glorious futuristic mélange of the two. Add a few tunes from The Emergency's synthetic post-punk repertoire and you won't know what decade you're in. There's been a lot of internet buzz, but don't let that put you off. These guys are crisper than an iceberg lettuce.
