This is the beginning of the single greatest music project we have ever attempted at the Thousands. The birth of a MixTape library that will grow each week via the skilled ears of our music editors and with the monthly input of super guest editors who are not almost famous... they are famous. Apart from rescuing the whole notion of mix tapes from the depths of obscurity, this will also rescue your music library from doldrums... and arguably rescue some underpaid artists from the poverty line. Make sure you visit us each Tuesday when the MixTape updates with sounds from the frontier of human endeavour.
Mixtape No: 23
In celebration of the cosmic alignment of Jupiter, Venus, and the Moon this week in the southern hemisphere, this mix is about Space. Screw all that 'final frontier' talk: space is scary. Let it stay the black abyss as long as we don't have ever deal with the reality of not touching anything. Why doesn't this freak more people out? Anyways, I'm glad to see the universe putting a smiley face in the sky to help to break the tension. On to the music.
