Where's Guildford Lane Gallery? What planet are you on, Joe Question-Mark? It's been open for at least six months! See, here's an example of how we're all going to get it together this year. The council might not give us a red polo shirt and a straw hat to wear, but we can still be helpful tour snots to those who need to find launch events.

So here's a start: Guildford Lane is near the motorbike shops on Little Lonsdale Street, down that laneway toward La Trobe where they had the catering vans for Ghost Rider. It's a beautiful, three-level contemporary art gallery, and there are some shows launching there tonight.

1. Greenwood Guardian, by Perth-based artists Erin Coates and Justin Spiers, explores the ways we define our property. You know - with security measures and the suburban Aussie equivalent of Medieval Heraldry.

2. The Mess Inside, Lucy Benson's open studio. It's a multi channel video installation with a live soundtrack by Jon Pak. It explores sensory perception so don't drink too much beforehand or it will have been a waste of her time.
