A few years ago, Hamburg-based artist Thomas Baldischwyler became understandably intrigued by the memorably titled record Shit is harder than penis by Sydney-based noise artist Passenger Of Shit.
Though it may not sound like the kind of thing you'd buy your girlfriend's mum, Thomas was into it enough to travel over here to meet with POS and explore the premise that such extraterrestrial music and artwork can only be produced in Australia, where we are so physically isolated from the rest of the world.
A cursory flick through POS material on the internet reveals a deranged and altogether hilarious mind at work, free from the confines of what many of us would consider ‘music' or ‘art'. It is hard to know what to expect from this show, but one is assured it will be different to anything you have ever seen.
The opening will be musically accompanied by a group of like-minded artists who also fascinate Thomas: ex-Melbourne based ALWAYS, Keith! Party, Ultra Violet MC, b12shot and Anal Executioner.
