Buses may have gained a bad name in Sunshine, but in the inner city a bus project is a about more than getting you from A to B with a Gold-FM soundtrack, it's about Art. Classified as Artist Run Initiative (ARI: code for 'this place runs on beer sales at our openings'), it features fortnightly shows of emerging artists who are pushing the boundaries of what you can achieve with an arts grant. Sound art, performance art, installations, video art, paintings, piles of junk (assemblages) all get a looksee here.

It's vibrant, it's unpredictable, and it's free entry with affordable art from people who may be Melbourne's next contribution to the international art juggernaut's Commerce Run Industry (CRI: code for 'lets all agree this worth 200 million dollars'). Openings are on Tuesday nights from 6pm (fortnightly) and are worth attending not only for the smoking hot art but also for the smoking hot attendees. Artists are so good looking, all of them, especially emerging ones. When you're done get on the bus and head home, or if you're an artist, run.
