Bruce LaBruce: not for the kiddies. If only we had noted this on the 2007 Rooftop Cinema program next to Raspberry Reich. Anyway, you know, bygones. Artists Tristan Jalleh and Saskia Pandji Sakti appreciate this legendary Canadian photographer, political pornographer and filmmaker in all his R-rated glory, and they've just taken over curatorship of Pushka's very small ‘Twenty by Thirty' gallery. Which means LaBruce's pictures will be on show in the hole for the next few weeks.
Speaking of holes, LaBruce's new film, Otto; Or, Up With Dead People (yes, the title has a semi-colon and a comma) is showing at MIFF this Friday and next Friday. It's the somewhat f*cked up tale of a zombie child who has sex with everything. Tristan's artwork is featured in the film, so it's only right that Bruce has some photos at Twenty by Thirty.
