Don't miss out! This is where the action happens! As a semi-qualified art writer I can tell you that publicists will be using anecdotes from this opening in contemporary art press releases for decades to come. Sounds like the people of artistic collective DAMP were sat in front of the right television programs in their youth. Their outrageous exhibition, Group Group Show proves that cooperation does make it happen by pulling together some of their creative colleagues.
When artists put their heads together, play on each other's strengths, weaknesses and the deep-rooted fetish to roll around in paint, you get this exhibition launching on Thursday.
Separately Together brings together (well, separately, but together) emerging artists from University of Melbourne and VCA whose work hijacks language and text for the visual arts. Throughout August they will be incubating their most personal thoughts in the exposed glass cabinets of Platform's subway space.
