Description:
For those of us who dedicated a good chunk of our life to following the ways of the force, who set up a jedi training ground under a large pine tree, and who could often be found sitting in a playground climbing frame pretending it was a tie fighter, there is an awesome show of Star Wars memorabilia at Scienceworks right now.
Event: Exhibition
Stimulus: Hot nerds
The Force is strong with Melbourne right now. Not only do we have an exhibition of Star Wars paraphernalia currently at Scienceworks, but also to ACMI, Kyle Newman's film has come. Hugely enjoyable it is, hmmph! Be first to rock up in costume this Friday for opening night and you could get free entry, plus your photo taken with Darth Vader or a Storm Trooper.
Scienceworks has a new exhibition about the holy grail of nerdom, Star Wars. Normally we wouldn't be caught dead at something like this, but when we heard one of our favourite readers had been to a preview, we realised it's gonna be okay for us to drool all over George Lucas' nuts again. Ling Ang, a Star Wars enthusiast, general geek, and awesome door girl for our Cool Aid fundraiser event had some insightful comments about the exhibition and some revealing ones about her personal life.
