The best ones are the mavens, the articulate fonts of knowledge that can find a way to make the impenetrable understandable and happily take your calls during pub quizzes. The Australian Science Communicators ARE these people and they're having a drinks night - and we're allowed to go.

Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination
Scienceworks has a new exhibition about the holy grail of nerdom, Star Wars. Normally we wouldn't be caught dead at something like this, but when we heard one of our favourite readers had been to a preview, we realised it's gonna be okay for us to drool all over George Lucas' nuts again. Ling Ang, a Star Wars enthusiast, general geek, and awesome door girl for our Cool Aid fundraiser event had some insightful comments about the exhibition and some revealing ones about her personal life.
