With the closure of the Afterdark in Northcote, the Sabbatical monthly performance series has a new home and new night of the week. Now all you sound dwellers can procure your fix of ‘art' on the third Thursday of each month at the inner city locale of The Old Bar. Shuddering the walls of the first night are two of the labels original noise makers rarely seen live: the grinding, mind blowing intensity of Bone Sheriff, and the melancholic, bittersweet drones and pulses of Aux Assembly.

Having studio-produced Sabbatical's scene-breaking Maximum Awesome and Mof Rah Far Far issues - as well as playing many a label-organised bill, Cook is in part responsible for the growing, sub-surge of interest in Melbourne for post-noise, live analogue performance of late.
