Description:
Combining Wu-Tang references, cut-off denim jackets and air guitar may sound a tad unlikely and perhaps even verge on the sacrilegious, but that's kind of the point here. Heavy Mental don't take stuff too seriously, sailing towards the fun end of the tricky punk/metal/rap genre, with Macromantics Romy Hoffman up front.
Patrick: Hey Shunda!
Shunda: Hey, how are you?
P: I'm good! It's like 10:30 in the morning down here and I just got in.
S: Man, you all are like... a lotta hours ahead
P: Yeah it's crazy, we're in the future down here. It's Wednesday already.
S: Oh damn, that's some gangsta shit right there.

ThreeThousand is a subcultural guide to Melbourne, published daily and fired by email weekly. It is compiled by an amorphous gaggle of Melbourne writers, stylists, designers and photographers who all like huddling under that big umbrella we like to call creativity. Without editorial independence ThreeThousand has nothing. All editorial you read is featured because it's worth it - not because it's paid for.
