Two of Melbourne's best community radio shows - PBS programs Left of the Dial and Makeshift Swahili - unite to present four of their favourite acts tomorrow night at Pony as part of Fringe. Ever since the friendship was born the two catholic school ladies have been mulling over starting a band. This is an unashamed aural pummelling and assault: so-called "grey metal" duo Krystkrvstoffiston; aural hum mixes and harsh noise when Blarke Bayer (Ben Andrews of My Disco fame) and Absoluten Calfeutrail perform a rare collaboration; Victorian debuts of the ambient group Heil Spirits (NSW) and world-renowned Tasmanian power electronics artist Chrysalis; and, the crushing analogue might of local noise duo Y35.
