With LMFF in full swing, the Wheeler Centre is holding an event to collectively ponder poetry 'in fashion' and poetry IN fashion. What does this mean, we wonder. Pants in iambic pentameter? Onomatopoeia on the catwalk? Oh, the possibilities. Designers Zoe Sandow and Jessica Yorsten will join forces with poets EZB, Sean M Whelan and Alicia Sometimes to panel the discussion, including the launch of Australia's first ever poetry-fashion collaboration A Stitch in Rhyme.

He plans to book hip hop MCs alongside comedians, writers, and poets to make one cohesive night that ‘attempts to repair poetry's image.

Mission statements - every company worth their salt has one. You know, the paragraph that sums up exactly what your business is about, what you believe in, what makes you so damn special. So anyway, this Nick Asbury fellow, he took the words from a bunch of ‘corporate overviews', and reworked them into funny little poems called ‘Corpoetics'.

Spring is the perfect time to put away Moby Dick and go back to the classic works of Japanese haiku-master Matsuo Basho. Spring needs no florid Shakespearean drivel, no extended Biblical metaphors, no tricky rhetorical devices. It is a time best spent outdoors beneath the cherry, not curled away trying to make sense of Ahab's puzzled mutterings.
