There are some fairly obvious reference points for Scul Hazzards, the ratbag trio of former Brisbane natives, currently residing in the UK.

Pavement co-founder Scott Kannberg has been playing with a band called Preston School Of Industry but now he's going out on his own as Spiral Stairs. Tic Toc Tokyo were in for a handful of beans at Pavement.

Steve Malkmus was in the best band ever. That's Pavement, if you don't know. They pretty much invented lo-fi indie rock in the mid '90s and made the nerds at Pitchfork bow down in terror - the website awarded 1994's 'Crooked Rain/ Crooked Rain' a super rare 10/10. Anyway, Pavement broke up in 1999 and frontman Steve Malkmus has been doing his own stuff for the last decade or so.
