For those of us intimidated by the harsh fluoro lighting of the chain department store and offended by the worn-out shag-pile carpet one might find in a Smith Street op-shop (though there is a lot to be said for such op-shops), two kids have created Design A Space. Picture that new, laminated timber look now in every retail concept store combined with myriad randomly-hung white hooks and hangers with a rotating range of totally decent threads by local designers and you've got the picture.
