You'll be disappointed to know that ‘The Spirit of the Black Dress' has nothing to do with a supernatural frock that smothers its victims by slithering down their throats while they sleep. Rather, it's a design competition that aims to promote emerging designers, and bring both the fashion and textiles communities together to celebrate Australian design.
