Did you know that an Iron Chef America video game, Supreme Cuisine, is currently being developed for the Wii and Nintendo DS? It will feature "a series of fast-paced and intense culinary challenges" and include the likeness of Mark Dacascos. But greater news awaits. An Iron Chef spin off launches during State of Design next Wednesday.

The craftsman behind Note to Self was not your average kid. While most juveniles were trading fags for swigs of Spumanti behind the shelter sheds, Max Olijnyk was following the skater-trails of Matt Hensley and Guy Mariano. He spent just as much time recreating their (retrospectively perhaps too large) pants on his Mum's sewing machine as he did ollying off three-inch gutters.
If you think about the last time someone turned to you and said, "Hey, I like you!" Chances are you'll stare wistfully out the window and crave pie. But we're here to tell you that a) we're pretty fond of you and b) people don't say they like each other enough. Before you take your fingers to your tongue and gesticulate barfing, think about it.

The Narrows is currently hosting a print workshop over ten days (May 19-29), where artists are applying the spirit of adventure to graphic art practices, drawing on their own image archives, the intermenets, and other documents. You are invited to have a look at some of the outcomes this Thursday.
