While we're all for subverting the catwalk format during LMFF, the idea of being squashed up against a grimy wall in a dimly lit subway in sweltering heat doesn't really endear itself. Which is what happened last year at Collections in the Underground, a fashion parade making use of the Degraves Street underground subway passage.

Ever returned home too soon from a trip to Europe and found yourself unable to adjust? Walking around in a beret and stripy t-shirt, staring at the Arts Centre spire, squinting your eyes, trying to convince yourself it's the Eiffel Tower?
Fortunately, relief is now at hand. Delicious relief. The people at Waffle On have started making baguettes, which they bake themselves.Great cupcakes in history:
1. Cupcakes eaten by Parisians during bread shortage thanks to intervention of Marie-Antoinette
2. The Great Cupcake by Bhavesh Shah (addressing issues of crime and time travel)
3. ‘Camp Cupcake' (minimum-security women's prison in Alderston, West Virginia, where Martha Stewart served final five months of sentence for federal conviction).
Separately Together brings together (well, separately, but together) emerging artists from University of Melbourne and VCA whose work hijacks language and text for the visual arts. Throughout August they will be incubating their most personal thoughts in the exposed glass cabinets of Platform's subway space.

The Organic Food and Wine Deli (TOFWD) is Degrave’s answer to the Vic Market’s organic section, but smaller. After seven years in operation last week the store took on a whole new face (and acronym), but thankfully its insides have remained the same.
