Description:
The Streetparty-Opulent partnership is a surprising one. It's like someone's put a mongoose and snake in a playpen hoping they'd play. And then they get along just fine and start making mixtapes or something. What is the catalyst? Baltimore lady Rye Rye. First, she's a little lady with a larger than life attitude.

Opulent are snapping a branch off their Favela nights and planting it in soil closer to the CBD. Sound Clash is a night of, b-more, dancehall, hip hop and pop. So it's really quite similar to the Favela nights but with a little more juice for the dancefloor, a weekly turnaround and frighteningly cheap drinks (two for one basics and $4 beers).

Description:
True, there has been little to recommend Seven Nightclub in the past (and we are not going to sully your day with inglorious southside social anthropology), but now the party has arrived and its name is HOOPS. Well it's not a club night, it's a girl DJ team and these ladeez are unreal - in a red lips, high hair, sparkly dresses playing hip hop and crunk but also Japanese pop kind of way.
Event: DJs
Stimulus: sound the horns!
Not only does the title of this crankin' mix get us all hot buttered at the SF HQ in Fitzroy, it's the bangin' mix of the very hip, very now stylin' of Baltimore house that keeps our fingers typing like maniacs as we throw down another issue. Featuring the DJ wizardry of B'more Kings, DJ Ayres and Tittsworth, this CD really does hold a little something for everyone.
When grunge dominated the musical landscape there was no shortage of bands eager to replicate. Nowadays it's Baltimore club and aspiring producers. Every second DJ has tried producing a Bmore club banger, by combining the standard Lyn Collins "Think" break and whatever track is hot this week.
In a wacky twist of concept heaven, Spank Rock have taken Diplo's Fabric 32 as the end point of their anticipated mix on the illusive ‘Fabric Live' franchise.
According to Ronnie Darko (Spank Rock's cut creator), it's a rare treat for a DJ to step up to the wheels and steer the set to compliment the DJ beforehand, especially in a world where disc fame means out spinning each other.
