Description:
As far as unofficial Runway 7 after parties go, this is the most extremely unofficial. Gloriously unofficial. So unofficial it's been put together by Matt Hurst with twice the love and care, which gives you twice as many reasons to get down there after the show. Alpha 60, Leopold, Material Boy, Romance Was Born and TV are pimping their finest offerings at the Docklands this Friday, so afterwards make like a model and strut on down to the ACCA for the second installment of Lost in Music to party in a place you can't party in very often.

Not too long ago, two promoters from different clans were overheard talking on Lonsdale Street. It was time, they said, for a coming together of the families. Why? We don't know, because their voices were drowned out by six 18-year olds stumbling past in costume glasses with vintage American Apparel frames.
Field Equation/Uncanny Nature
If you avoid heading down to the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art because of the amount of times the exterior is used to sell naff cars, then you're probably not alone. However, the quality of art inside has generally been excellent since the obtuse rusty oddity opened. This week, ACCA reopens after a renovation with two exhibits, Daniel Von Sturmer's Field Equation and a group show, Uncanny Nature.

Generally, ThreeThousand doesn’t like to dabble in politics. We are both too stupid and too good-looking to genuinely care. Fortunately, not everyone is like us, and for those with a social conscience ACCA have created a new exhibition, ‘The Unquiet World’, that not only conveys a powerful message but also supports independent artists and free thinkers.

The Melbourne International Arts Festival has pulled a big name for its visual arts program in the 2004 Turner Prize winner, Martin Creed. Thousands of dollars have been spent flying Creed, his band and team of assistants over here to prepare and 'install' the exhibition. The end result- a gallery with the lights turned off.
