There are some things you want to keep for yourself, to hide like a miser and protect from the ugly reaches of outside world. Fortunately ThreeThousand trusts its readership and for this reason alone is prepared to reveal Simple Economics, the debut album from The Rich.

The Rich is the brainchild of Richard Ennis an artist/writer/musician/vagabond who was put on the straight and narrow by SBS and Feral Media, whipped and led chain gang style into the studio where The Rich was transformed from an idea into a band. There is a furious yet fundamental pulse in this production. From the honest sounding ambiguity of the vocals to the addictive bass-lines Simple Economics takes complex and ranging influence from punk, rock, new-wave and twists them like a rubix cube into something that simply makes sense.
