Last week I took a trip to the hills. I was meandering down a forest path when I met a tall man wearing a beautiful straw trilby. It looked amazing! I'd been looking for a hat just like this! I asked him where he bought it and he replied, "It is a Truffaux. It is my hat. I make them." Intrigued, I followed him back to his 120-year-old cottage in the forest. His name, I found out, is Oska Truffaux.
Mr. Truffaux then told me he had been travelling around Melbourne in a red Baby Austin taking photos of people wearing his handmade hats - that are, for the record, made in Ecuador. He said, "It's like dressing up and climbing into a tiny cupboard with your best friends - and taking photos of yourselves."
Why had I not seen this? It sounds incredible!
Then he showed me a small collection of the 8000 photographs taken over the past three months. He said they were being exhibited at Yah Yah's this week! I bought a hat on the spot and called ThreeThousand to say I had a scoop! Penny almost didn't believe my story, cause I was on a mission to find mushrooms. But look! Here's the invitation! I wasn't high, I swear.
