Jewellery just got complicated - but in the best kind of way. Introducing tmod (a.k.a. turn me on design), who are ready to perplex and intrigue us with Smoke and Mirrors - their new range of interactive silver jewellery in which each piece is designed around ancient puzzles and games. The Sydney jewellers behind the collection, Georgie Swift and Milenka Osen, say Smoke and Mirrors was created from a "jewellery fiddling addiction" and describe the resultant range as "a journey of enigmatic illusion that tests the logic of the mind and challenges perceptions of reality."
That's a lot to ask for a necklace, we know, but these girls - renowned for their previous Oh Fiddlesticks collection - certainly know how to deliver. There are ancient keys that need to be separated by concentrating on a designed groove system; an impressive six-sided cube which asks you to navigate a cross beam through its centre while you think carefully about all of its sides. Their website is also a stunning visual experience in its own right, and flirts magically with the interactive ideas behind the necklaces.
