Okay Okay Okay *takes a breath* I wrote this up three weeks ago and have been pitching it week after week to my editor because, as I keep saying, we gotta let the people know, we gotta! Ever since I bought The Stolen Sharpie Revolution three years ago I've been wanting to talk about zines to everyone.

At the International Literature Conspiracy Week you're going to get to participate in Target 144 where, for 144 hours straight (starting noon this Monday), people are going to create as many zines as possible then sell them at the zine fair next Saturday, launched by the Arts Minister Lynn Kosky, how cool! There will be tons of great zines and books for sale like the new Mavis McKenzie, maybe the last copy of Vanessa Berry's Strawberry Hills Forever, plus the sarcastic and now oddly appropriate This Is A Love Letter To Connex.

Oh god! There is also a public viewing of the historic zine collection at the State Library on Sunday February 15. It's free, but you have to book through stickyshop@gmail.com, and it's only for an hour because they don't want your gross breath all over their rare and printed works.
