Trackies: daggy pants that individuals wear for comfort, usually when feeling unhealthy and unwholesome from the night before. Fortunately, the three local Melbourne lads behind Johnny Benchpress refuse to accept that trackies are for the undignified and assure us that they have some street cred.
Think Jodhpurs but thicker, made of cotton, and with way less shimmer going on.
Note to Self
The craftsman behind Note to Self was not your average kid. While most juveniles were trading fags for swigs of Spumanti behind the shelter sheds, Max Olijnyk was following the skater-trails of Matt Hensley and Guy Mariano. He spent just as much time recreating their (retrospectively perhaps too large) pants on his Mum's sewing machine as he did ollying off three-inch gutters.
Pants & Pies sale, ACT II
After the roaring success of last Saturday's ‘Pants & Pies' sale, James Cameron presents ACT II this weekend. Vintage wash denim, Japanese corduroy, English wools, flannel trousers, and free pies.
Be among your fellow men as you peruse the pants and avail yourself of pastries. The label's first collection is called 'Teutoburg Forest', which refers to a battleground where the German tribes unexpectedly defeated a headstrong Roman army in the year 9 AD.

Buying a T-shirt is kind of like choosing a pizza base. Stay with me now. Imagine yourself walking up to the local pizza store. You're hungry, damn hungry and you want something basic, but something that can (if necessary) also handle the toppings you crave such as peppers, aubergine and the perfect jeans, ahem, sorry sauce.

The world of T-shirt production can be a cut-throat business, in the desperate search for a fresh angle in the face of generic mass production. One brave label delving into this saturated market is Paulie from Montlaroc, whose tees are a unique melange of gangster imagery and pop art.
In sourcing creative concepts for his designs, Paulie has drawn inspiration from established artists, and other awesome t-shirt makers, giving them a subversive spin.
