Sure, the suits love this place. Trunk makes them feel groovy, yet they can still drop flashy cash on fruity cocktails for the ladies and they stand every chance of running into the movers and shakers of the AFL community. However, according to our investigations, this should not prevent you from dropping by. Here are some things you might not know about Trunk:
1. Pork pizza, pork chops, pork skewers, pork belly, prosciutto. Five kinds of pig on the menu in what is actually a renovated synagogue. Heh heh.
2. They do takeaway pizza for people who live in the city. In fact, this is the only take-away pizza in the city apart from Pizza Hut above Sportsgirl in the Bourke Street Mall.
3. They sell longnecks of VB.
4. They have a very large outdoor smoking area. So large, your parents would fully believe you were just in the toilet.
5. They have a secret back room, wherein you can hold a wee party. Sure it's named after Rabbi Rintel, but it's wee enough that you could start crowdsurfing as soon as 15 people turned up.
6. They sell 1kg serves of T-Bone steak. There's the gauntlet, right there.
Let us reclaim this awesome bar. Aside from anything else, sometimes you just want to go home without milkcrate butt.
