You shuffle out of Caledonian Lane full of cheap Coopers on a Thursday evening, and you need it. Something greasy. In your mind, you know you shouldn't, but who's to stop you? Jerome? Heh. And Ronald's den is just there in front of you on the corner. Before you know it you're inhaling one those plastic looking cheeseburgers, and a little part of you has died.
Burger Monster is here to show you the light. It may not have Crappy Meals or McSlurries, but it has mouth-watering burgers that won't increase your chances of needing a coronary by-pass. Tucked away down a lane between Collins and Little Collins, Burger Monster has no freezers. Hence, the ingredients are delivered fresh every day, and the meat patties are made on site. Their juiciness is such that you'll probably start salivating before you take your first bite. (So probably not the best place for a first date.)
It's open late Monday to Saturday, has really red walls, and Elton John was playing when we were there. For $10.50, The Lot will give you all the power you need to kick that junk habit and never look back.
