Fearless local label and touring force, Mistletone Records, continue their seasonal approach to kicking ass tomorrow night with Winter Tones - the latest instalment of Melbourne's only independent quarterly music festival. Upping the ante as only this label can, all three of Roxanne Parlour's rooms will play host to more than a dozen bands including dream pop vanguards Beach House (USA), New Zealand's synth pastoralist Bachelorette, local genius Qua, existential punks Love of Diagrams and ascend/transcend-ent acid-rock quintet of the moment, Beaches.

Description:
Sabbatical presents a night of haunting sounds with power-duo Breathing Shrine making a rare live appearance. Featuring the dual attack of Rob Mayson and Bonnie Mercer from the mighty Grey Daturas, Breathing Shrine takes the audience to brink (and sometimes over). Also by the show also features the fine work of Family Jewels, Krystkrvstoffiston, Absoluten Calfeutrail and Blarke Bayer.

dani m designs
The creator of dani m designs, unsurprisingly a designer called Dani M (see what she did with the lowercase letters!), has created a niche in the so-delicate-you-could-eat-them jewellery market. Simple pieces in triangles and squares, in the softest gelato colours, are likely to be mistaken for marshmallows or some other confectionary goodness.
Little Miss Sunshine
With a cast of characters initially tied together only by the family unit and their own fallibility,Little Miss Sunshine is a road trip film of a different nature. A smoking mother, an overly aspirational father, a drug-addict grandfather, a suicidal uncle and amute son are in stark contrast the youngest daughter whose dreams of becoming a beauty queen are wonderfully misplaced.
